Registration

The registration form for the 26th International Montessori Congress, to be held over
January 5-8, 2009 in Chennai, India, will be divided into the following five sections:

1. Personal Information
2. Contact Information
3. Registration Information
4. Accommodation
5. Payment

All delegates are required to register for the Congress.

Delegate Category:
The delegate fee will depend on which category you come under. The delegate categories are:

Foreign Delegates
Regional Delegates (if you are a citizen of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives)
AMI Trainers
AMI Trainers in Training

A reduced early bird fee will apply if you register before August 15, 2008.

Registration Type:
Delegates can register online and offline.

Online
For online registration, delegates need to fill in the registration form online, and make the payment online.

Semi-Online
For semi-online registration, delegates need to fill in the registration form online, print out the email they receive, and post it to us along with the payment.

Seating at the Congress:
There are two types of seating offered at the Congress venue - a large formal auditorium and an informal theatre.

Auditorium seating:
Higher delegate fee
All meals
Indoor
Live viewing of the proceedings on the stage

Theatre:

Lower delegate fee
All meals
Outdoor (protected from the sun)
Proceedings from the auditorium will be screened at the theatre

Accommodation:

As a part of the registration for the Congress, we offer optional accommodation packages. If you wish to avail of our accommodation packages, you will need to do so as at the same time as you register for the Congress.

The packages that we offer Foreign and Regional Delegates are for the period Sunday, January 4 to Friday, January 9, 2009.

The packages that we offer AMI Trainers and AMI Trainers in Training are either for the period Sunday, January 4 to Friday, January 9, 2009 or for the period Saturday, January 3 to Friday, January 9, 2009.

Please note that the maximum number of people who can register as a part of a single registration application is six (inclusive of the registrant).

Extending Accommodation Dates:

If you wish to extend the packages outside of this timeframe on either side, we recommend that you register for the Congress and book your accommodation package, and then write to us with your additional requirements. We will try and secure you accommodation in the same hotel, if possible. If it is not possible to secure the same hotel for the additional dates, we will book you in an alternative hotel.

Cheaper Accommodation Options:

If you require cheaper accommodation options, please write to us at info@montessoricongress.com and we will revert with possibilities.

School Visits:


On the first day of the Congress, January 5, 2009, delegates have the opportunity to visit local schools. Delegates wishing to participate in school visits will need to do so as a part of the Congress registration.

Payments:

Please note: We regret to inform you that we are unable to support credit card payments using MasterCard. We however support the following credit cards:

- Visa
- American Express
- Diners Club

If you are paying by credit card, please ensure that the address that you enter on the payment page matches the address on your credit card billing statement. This would speed up the processing of your registration.

Foreign delegates registering online have one payment option only.

Delegates from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have two payment options:

1. Credit card
2. Demand draft

Indian delegates have three payment options:

1. Credit card
2. Demand draft
3. Internet banking

Note:All transactions will incur a processing/transaction charge of 5%.

Cancellation:

The Registration Fees once paid will NOT be refunded under any circumstances.

For cancellations made on or before May 31, 2008, 65% of the Accommodation Fee will be refunded.

For cancellations made between June 1, 2008 and August 31, 2008, 40% of the Accommodation Fee will be refunded.

The Accommodation Fee will not be refunded under any circumstances on or after September 1, 2008.

All refunds will be processed only after January 10, 2009.
